You're invited to see the beauty of Victorian-era buttons, handiwork, gorgeous lace, and beads. Join us for the grand opening of our Textile Exhibit, "They Wore It Well," featuring newly conserved Grundy Family clothing, a beautiful reproduction of a dress from our collection, as well as accessories belonging to the family.
Through a grant from Visit Bucks County Tourism and our generous donors to the Grundy Foundation's CanDoMore Campaign 4, we were able to conserve three Grundy family clothing items in our collections and reproduce a dress. The results are spectacular, and we are happy to share them with the public!
Opening night of "They Wore It Well" gives you an up close and personal look at the collections with short presentations by some professionals working on this project. This particular evening event at the Museum includes light refreshments on the South lawn and music played on our restored Steinway.
