Enjoy a relaxing summer evening – Victorian style! Our "Picnic in the Park" series, a monthly summer program for all ages, continues with a Garden Party on Friday evening June 21 from 6:30-8:30pm. Lawn games, cooling river breezes, and Victorian etiquette will transport you back to a bygone era. Light refreshments will be served, and you are welcome to bring your own picnic basket (but please, no alcohol). Come dressed in your Victorian inspired summer attire if you like!

All the rage in the Victorian era, garden party guests played croquet and badminton while visiting with friends – all the while minding their “P’s and Q’s” As you enjoy your evening, our garden party will introduce you to some of the rules of etiquette that men and women had to follow to remain in good society.

So come on down to the river for this FREE family program and discover for yourselves the relaxing elegance of a Victorian garden party!
