Experience the social whirl of the Gilded Age! Victorians loved to entertain, and Mary Grundy was a prominent hostess who had both the social connections and wealth to impress guests. Your evening will begin with an introduction to the carefully scripted social expectations of both hostess and guests. During the program you will have an opportunity to scrutinize a dinner table in all its elaborate elegance, participate in parlor games, and enjoy a live performance of popular music of the time. Participants are encouraged to come “dressed to the nines” in the era of your choice.
Check in begins at 7:15 with the event beginning promptly at 7:30pm. Light refreshments will be served.
